Refunds & cancellations
How GiftBasketsSpain handles changes of mind, undeliverable gifts, and quality guarantees.
Cancellation window
You may cancel a same-day order any time before 10:00 AM (Madrid time) on the day of delivery for a full refund. Orders cancelled after 10:00 AM but before assembly begins will be refunded at 50%. Once a hamper has been hand-packed and handed to the courier, cancellation is no longer possible.
Right of withdrawal
Under Spanish and EU consumer law, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable goods such as fresh food, chocolates, and gift hampers (Art. 103, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007). Our quality guarantee below protects you instead.
Unsuccessful delivery
Accurate addresses and a valid contact number are essential. If we cannot reach the recipient after three attempted calls or deliveries across the booked window, the order is deemed fulfilled and no refund is issued. Re-delivery to a corrected address incurs a standard delivery fee.
Partial fulfilment
If a specific item or add-on is unavailable, we will either substitute with a product of equivalent value and quality or refund the difference. We will notify you before assembly begins whenever a substitution is made.
Quality guarantee
If your gift arrives in less-than-perfect condition, send a photo to [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace, refund, or credit 120% of the basket value — your choice.
Refund processing
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10–15 business days of approval. PayPal and card refunds usually land within 3–5 business days.
Weather-related delays
In the event of severe weather or other circumstances beyond our control, affected orders are automatically rescheduled to the next available slot at no charge. If the gift is time-critical and rescheduling is not acceptable, we will refund in full.
